### This is one of the [[forms of poetry]] you can experiment with! An ode is a poem in praise of a person, place, object, or idea that is usually identified in the title. It describes a scene, focuses on a problem or a situation, and arrives at a conclusion that returns to the original scene or statement. Modern odes often are written in praise of the ordinary. Most odes use rather formal language and poetic technique. Some feature consistent rhythm and a set rhyme scheme. Some poets juxtapose a less-than-serious subject matter with a formal tone throughout. - Poets.org has [a page about odes](https://poets.org/glossary/ode). - Here's a [video on how to write an ode in ten minutes](https://drive.google.com/open?id=1OD6uirrZQtcagMuxnO3_Fxvvw2twpeuB&authuser=mschulte%40waukesha.k12.wi.us&usp=drive_fs)!
