This is one of the [[assignments for publishing]] you can give yourself.
Do you start all kinds of writing projects, stories, poems, journal entries, sentences, and then just never quite …
Yeah, me too.
Here’s an assignment you could try TODAY:
**Finish something.**
That’s it. It could be something you start today, or [[inspiration graveyard|something you started a while ago that’s been sitting on your desktop or in your desk drawer or in your braaaaaaiiiiin, sitting there mocking you because it knows you’ll never follow through and actually FINISH IT]].
But this time — you will.
Commit to finishing the thing, whatever it is, today. Whether it ends up being any “good” or not is not the point. Even if it’s the most wretched heap of half-formed crap you’ve ever generated, at least you did it, it’s done, and you can move on with your life. Even if it’s so repugnant you want to print it out just so you can crumple it up and vehemently throw it away, that’s fine, it’s all fiiiiiiiine.
*You finished something.*
You learn something from doing that.
