They chased me as if possessed by an otherworldly force. I was [[screaming wildly and loudly at the top of my lungs]]. Some people have what they call vivid dreams where your eyes are open, but you would still be actually sleeping and [[not really experiencing what you thought you were experiencing]]. I heard a very low growl as I ran up the stairs. So this was not just a visual dream; this was reality. Yet my parents both laughed and were totally not convinced. This whole situation had me very concerned and very convinced that either this was really happening to me or that I was silently going insane—[[something that I really didn’t want to think about]]. There was nothing under my bed and everything seemed to be in its place. I even checked in the freezer to make sure all the meats and vegetables were in their proper places and they certainly were. A mocking tone bellowed out from the basement, exclaiming, *Are you scared child? Are you afraid to eat your broccoli?* and then burst out into maniacal laughter. Why? I yelled.
