Did you know the word [*meander*](https://www.websters1913.com/words/Meander) comes from “a river in Phrygia, proverbial for its many windings”? That seems appropriate. The idea behind this part of the site is that you can meander along, upstream or downstream or branching off to follow a tributary or distributary. **Whenever you want to stop and write, stop and write.** Then you can either be finished for the time being, or else come back in and wander some more.  If you “meander” till you find a prompt or inspiration you like, you _could_ then decide, “OK I’m gonna commit to writing a single 750-word story based on this idea” but you wouldn’t have to. Or it could be something like “I’m going to start here & go for 20 minutes straight and wherever I end up, that will be my starting point first thing tomorrow morning.” Up to you! Here’s a [video from a live class session](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k5k0GGoCKduEbIcpddpiks8R-jc1G1Ud/view?usp=sharing) explaining how this could work.
