It was morning, “or was it?” I thought to myself as I walked peacefully down the old and cracked sidewalk.
“I’ve been stuck in this place for days and can never tell what time of day it is.” Kayla said as [[she stopped on the spot and relaxed]] her body, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the warmth that the sunlight provided as it consumed her body like a crackling fire on a cold winter night.
“Now wait a minute.” Kayla opened her eyes and looked directly into the sunlight forgetting that the sun is harmful to the eyes. “Dam” Kayla said. Irritated Kayla shielded the harmful sharp light with the aid of her left hand and with the other seized her sunglasses out of her right pocket in her pants. Ducking her head she was able to put her sunglasses on without looking at the blinding light of the sun.
